We Are Not Entitled To Anything

We are all humans, and we should treat others respectfully and fair, and it should be expected that others treat us fairly as well. We should be kind, honest and fair towards others. The only problem is that the world and people, no one, is perfect.

It does not matter if you are young or old, a man or woman, healthy or unhealthy or experienced some wrongdoing. You are not entitled to anything.

For some reason, we live in a world where people think they are entitled to amazing partners, jobs, money, compliments, cars, travelling, and anything. Why?

If you think you are entitled to a beautiful, wealthy, fun, gentle and just amazing partner, take a look at yourself. Not just a mirror, but what’s inside of you. And ask yourself, what are you putting on the table? What do you offer to your future partner?

You find it unfair that rich people inherit money, can go to a fancy university without appreciating the opportunity or getting a fantastic job with connections? It’s not fair, but life is not warranted.

Many rich people and family have worked for their money. They spent their time devoted to money, but this does not guarantee that their life is perfect. And this does not mean that because someone else has money, you should have it as well.

You can try and work towards success. Hopefully, you will succeed. But it’s not guaranteed.

You might hate big companies and how they make money. You might envy people who seem to have everything so easy. Stop it. It does nothing for you.

Instead, take a look at your actions. If you don’t like those big companies, then why do you pursue their products? If you envy those people’s lives, why do you spend so many hours on social media instead of doing something that takes you closer to your dream?

Live for yourself and earn the life you want to have instead of convincing you are entitled to everything without any effort.

Being entitled and wanting something are two very different things. Wanting something means that you want to get it, and you know that you need to do something to be able to achieve it. “To get something you want, you need to give up something else”, my sister used to say. I used to hate that sentence, but I have also learned that it is accurate. If I want to earn money, I need to give up my free time. If I want to lose weight, I need to give up the sweets I love.

Being entitled to something is when you think you are perfect, and the whole world should spin around you.

Honey. No one in this world is perfect. You are in charge of your life, so start navigating. Make sure to treat others like they are on the same level as you are and not lower. Ensure that you offer something in return when you expect someone to give you the things you want.

Everyone wants to be different and special, but in the end, we are all just people.
